This project was completed by Nick and his assistant Mark in 2009 (images shown are more recent, showing the growth and maturation of the plants and trees). A site of 30 flats, this redesign involved removal of all existing vegetation, replanting with a completely new planting scheme and redesigning all access points to apartments and carpark. A separate enclosed area for rubbish bins was also built, with new letterboxes installed on the adjoining side.
Rainwater is captured from roof guttering for garden use via tanks, with a specialised control system that allows the irrigation to revert back to mains water when the tank runs out.
