This patio got a long strip drain in front of the door due to the slope of the lawn which heads back to the house ever so slightly and in the unforeseen event of a massive pour down and as much as the patio slopes away from the house we still felt it wise to include this gutter especially as we also matched the patios finished height to the internal floors for maximum comfort when traversing the door frames.
