This is definitely the saddest space in case we had the opportunity to breathe new life into.

It is a set of safe houses for woman and children that suffer abuse at home so for me I focused on giving the children a massive sand pit and giant rock edge to muck about in and then kept one of the three swings to encourage sharing and conversation.

There was a lot of work in creating good air and water flow under the synthetic turf as you may or may not be aware how mould and bad odour can really take hold with this product.
A left-over tree log got the chop and trim with a chainsaw and became a seat near the entrance.

A nice simple tap and basin for playing “kitchens” with two huge amazing umbrellas for when its super sunny.

And that’s my daughter Ivy testing it all out on the day of hand over.
